Econazole Nitrate: Econazole alters the permeability of the cell wall membrane in fungi; it may also affect lipid metabolism and RNA and protein synthesis. The primary action of Pevisone Creamis a glucocorticoid. It lessens capillary permeability and slows the movement of polymorphonuclear leukocytes, hence reducing inflammation.
The CYP3A4/2C9 enzyme breaks down the oral anticoagulant econazole to its active form. Salicylate levels in the blood are decreased by triamcinolone. NSAIDs raise the possibility of ulceration and bleeding in the Gl. obstructed the blood glucose-lowering effects of the antidiabetic. The risk of hyperkalemia is raised by beta-blockers, amphotericin B, potassium-depleting diuretics, and theophylline. Triamcinolone clearance is boosted by the use of ciclosporin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, barbiturate, and rifampicin.
Pregnancy: Because Econazole does not cross the placenta as Triamcinolone Acetonide does, topical corticosteroids during pregnancy may cause issues with the development of the fetus. It is yet unclear whether this discovery applies to people. It is not advised to use topical steroids during pregnancy, especially not in high doses or for extended periods of time.
Econazole and Triamcinolone, in smaller amounts, are secreted in breast milk during lactation. As a result, lactation should be discontinued during treatment if this cream is administered to a nursing mother.
Store away from light in a cold (below 30°C) and dry location. Keep out of children's reach.
